>> Hi and welcome to a new monthly beauty products video.
Let me say that I'm really happy September is finally over,
I don't know about you, but it has been a heavy one for me,
getting back on track after the holidays has been super hard
and I'm starting to feel somehow ok just now.
Not to speak about the weather which is in that annoying stage
when it's cold in the morning and you have to cover up
while it's super hot in the middle of the day.
So, bye bye September, you will not be missed.
Now, with no further ado, let's jump into this month beauty favourites.
My first choice for September skin care section is
this Herborist facial mask,
the T'ai chi mask.
I fell in love with this product at the first use
because it deeply cleanses, tons up and leaves the skin super fresh.
Moreover it has a captivating packaging,
as you can see it opens this way
and inside you'll find, on the botton the tool to apply the product
and on top the jar which contains the two masks
a clear and a dark one,
separated to form the tao symbol.
lovely and very handy.
Now let's talk about the actual product
which is made of a dark cleansing mask, made of red peony
which removes the impurities from the skin,
such as make up remains and the dead cells,
and cleanses the pores reducing their dimension.
Then there's a clear mask,
made with white peony,
which soothes, tones and lights up the skin.
The treatement, which I suggest you to take at least once a week,
consists in applying the dark mask as first thing
and gently rub it in
then rinse it out with warm water.
While the skin is still wet apply the clear mask
gently rub it in for a few minutes
and leave it on for 15 minutes
You can then rinse it off always using warm water.
I used it once a week throughout all September
and I loved it.
It's a good way to take care of our skin
cleanse it and remove the make up remains which pile up during the week
and light it up.
It's also a good way to pamper ourselves and start the weekend the right way.
If you are interested the price for a 290 gr jar, which I promise will last you a long time,
it's 50,50 euros
and you can find it at Sephora, online too.
Always speaking about skin care
this month I fell in love with Clinique Superdefense eyes SPF 20 eye cream.
As you know the eyes area is very sensitive
and many creams may not work or may be too aggressive,
or stinging or difficult to apply.
While Clinique's Superdefense has a perfect texture
because it's rich and very nourishing, but not oily
and it soaks in quickly leaving a long lasting hydrating feeling.
Moreover it has a SPF 20 which is always good.
It costs 38,00 euros, but you just need a bit to obtain a good result.
During the stressfull month of September it has been a precious help
in my struggle against dark circles and puffy eyes which oppressed me.
I used it in the morning and in the evening, and even if it's not miraculous,
the hydration and relaxation of the eyes area is real.
So if you are looking for a good product I highly suggest it.
You can find it in all the beauty stores who sell Clinique
or online and you'll find all the direct links on my blog
and my blog address is in the infobox below.
Finding the right products for the transitional months like September may be hard
the annoying temperature leaps between morning and afternoon put to the test the make up hold
and the shiny effect is a constant risk.
A good way to limit the damages is using a mattifying compact powder.
My best friend throughout September was Rimmel Stay Matte powder
a long lasting mattifying powder.
I'll start by saying that the price/quality ratio is really good
as it costs around 4,00 euros
so it's quite affordable.
Moreover the mattifying effect is granted.
You have to dose it carefully though
because you may run the risk to overload and obtain a powdery effect which ages the face.
So it's better to apply it carefully without overloading
in order to settle the make up and make it last longer
If you use it correctly you will get 5 hours without shiny glows
and you can find it in all the beauty stores who sell Rimmel
or more easily in the drugstores.
I stay with Rimmel to speak about one of the best long lasting lipsticks I ever tried
It's from the Lasting finish line created by Kate Moss in cooperation with Rimmel
I chose n.10
which as you can see is a bright strawberry red
and let me tell you, it's amazing.
Becuase once you put it on you don't have to bother touching it up
it will last throughout the whole evening, even if you drink and eat.
It's available in 8 shades, from the nude ones to the brighter ones like this
.and it costs around 8,00 euros
I suggest you to try it because I'm sure you will love it.
On this month nails section I will not talk about nailpolishes
but about two complementary products
because a good manicure is not only made of nailpolish.
The first product is the strenghtening polish remover by Sally Hansen
A good polish remover is essential if you like to change your nails colour often
because the polish remover tends to damage them the most.
This product is really good because thanks to the additional proteins and vitamins
it doen't dries the nails but it strenghtens them
and it also removes the nail polish quickly.
Unfortunately it is not available in Italy
but you can buy it on Amazon or Ebay
the price is around 5/6 euros
for a package like this,
so it's quite affordable,
and if you are interested you'll find the links on my blog as usual.
The second product is...
a glove for the winter season!
I'm joking, these gloves are a SPA treatement for your hands which you can easily take at home.
The inside is covered with a gel
made of grape seeds oil, jojoba oil, olive oil and vitamin E
which hydrate and tone up the skin making it more elastic.
You can use them for 50 times
and you can choose to wear them for 30 minutes for a lighter result
or for the whole night to get a deeper result.
I have to say they are a bit uncomfortable
and you will not be very attractive wearing them
but I promise they work
They make the skin softer and more elastic
and if you want you can customize the treatement adding some argan oil
to increase the smoothing effect
they cost around 31,00 euros and
you can find them at Sephora stores or online
and they have the socks too.
I decided to include in the "random" section 2 products I particularly liked in September
which didn't fit in any of the previous cathegories.
The first one is this John Frieda shampoo
the full repair.
I don't know about you but I always find it hard to get the right shampoo for my hair
and I usually rely on the hair dresser suggestions
but when I came back from the holidays my shampoo was over
and there were no hair dresser appointments scheduled
so I decided to risk and rely on my instinct.
I found out that Sephora has a whole line of products for the hair care
and I was struck by John Frieda's Full repair
for two reasons:
the first one is the packaging
which is very handy to take in the shower as it opens like this
so it's easy to apply it and close it back.
Usually the shampoos have a screw cap which makes everything harder.
Moreover the full repair line is designed for stressed out, worn out and weakened hair
and after 15 days strolling around Mexico
with sun, rain, sea and humidity my hair was a disaster.
I have to say that already after a week of use I noticed my hair was fuller and better looking.
So this is the main reason I suggest it, this shampoo works!
It costs around 10/11 euros and you can find it in Sephora stores
unfortunately it is not yet available on the online store
but after a research I found it on the Douglas web site
and it costs 11,95 euros
As usual I suggest you to visit my blog to find all the details, the link is in the infobox below.
The last product in the random section contains a good tip to clean make up brushes.
Girls, it's essential to clean regularly our make up brushes
I usually alternate and I clean them once a week
which is the minimum accepted
and I use once the cleaning spray which you don't need to rinse
and once a shampoo to clean them better.
It's important to choose a very delicate shampoo
and this is the product I'm going to talk about.
It's Nivea baby shampoo
made for the babies
and perfect the wash your brushes
because it doesn't ruin the bristles and leaves them soft
I usually proceeed this way
I dip the tip of the brush in the water, I add a bit of shampoo
I gently rub the brustle in order to remove the make up remains,
and then I rinse it using warm water.
Remember also that you need to let the brushes to dry flat
in a way that the bristle won't loose their shape.
I usually lay them flat over the sink in a way that the bristles don't touch any surface
to avoid deformations.
I suggest you this shampoo
to clean your brushes
it costs around 4/5 euros, an affordable price
it lasts a long time
and your brushes will be really clean.
And those were my September beauty favourites
I hope my suggestions will be usefull
and if so don't forget to click thumbs up on this video
