>> Hi, and welcome back to our kitchen!
Today we will prepare an easy, fresh recipe
perfect for the Summertime,
the tunafish paté.
For this recipe we will need:
two potatoes,
400gr of canned tunafish,
100gr of butter,
some capers,
and some eggs for the mayonese to put on top of the paté.
Let's start by boiling the potatoes.
While we wait for the potatoes to cook
let's prepare the mayonese!
For the mayonese we need:
2 eggs,
250 ml of oilseed,
salt, vinegar, the juice of half a lemon
and a blender.
We can start!
Let's start by separating the yolk from the albumen.
Let's add salt and a teaspoon of vinegar.
and let's start mixing, we will then add the oil little by little.
Let's add the lemon juice!
Here is the mayonese!
Now we proceed
by cutting with a grinder
the tuna with some capers...
and we grind!
Perfect, now it has a creamy texture.
Now we move the mixture to a bowl where we will mix
all the ingredients.
The potatoes are ready, we peeled them,
now we add
to the tuna and capers the 100gr of butter
and using a potato masher we add the mashed potatoes while they're still hot.
Everything mixes better because the potatoes are warm.
We don't need to add other potatoes because it's quite consistent.
by adding another potato it may become too dry
while it has to be smooth.
Let's check the salt level
and we add some.
We will prepare two different presentations
for the first one I covered a cup with wrap
to make it easier to remove the paté once it will be colder.
I start placing the paté inside.
For the second presentation we will serve it
in a platter.
So this is one presentation
and the other one will be domed
now we leave it to cool down in the fridge for an hour and half, 2 hours.
The paté cooled down now we cover it with the mayonese
Here is the first presentation
a bit Eighties style,
The tunafish brick
For the second presentation we will now try
to turn over our bowl, I'm already terrified..
Here it our tiny dome
made of tuna
and we can now cover it with mayonese too.
Now using the tomato peel
we will try to make a rosette...
Then with two parsley leaves
we will create the leaves for our rose.
Here are our two tunafish paté presentations
That's all for today
As usual you will find all the infos on my blog
and we will see in the next video...ciao!
Hi and welcome..
and we start blending..then we will...
We will let it rest in the fridge for an hour and a half, two hours...
